The Secret Behind Frieren's Impressive World

Frieren: Beyond Journey's end is good. Like really, really good. Even though it's only had a cour so far, it's easily become one of my favorite anime ever. I found myself constantly grinning seeing Frieren's shenanigans with Fern and Stark and also feeling immense pain whenever I saw flashbacks of Frieren with Flamme and her squad from 80 years ago. The character writing in Frieren's been phenomenal so far, filling the story with extremely human characters but it isn't the only reason why Frieren's popped off so much. The world Frieren takes place itself is FILLED with different mysteries, magic, and creatures and everything feels so alive because of the amount of detail and love that's being put into each and every facet of Frieren's world. I was surprised to see such a refreshing take on demons within Frieren and it's nice to see that other races are being mentioned as well, all with their own societies and values. Craziest part is Frieren is just getting started and the worldbuilding is already this excellent.
