Impossible Incorporated LLC's founder Dr. Matt Bilsky has invented a low-cost 3D printed snake-like robot that can be used for inspection and repairs in hard to access locations. It is 1 inch in diameter and made from rigid links that can lock together to move through confined spaces, lock together, and then perform difficult physical tasks in addition to creating 3D images. Even though it is make from plastic it is strong enough to drill through wood!
