Crypto doesn’t feel euphoric right now. It feels exhausted.

In this episode, we break down the viral $100K “save crypto art” tweet and use it to highlight a deeper issue: NFTs didn’t fade because people hate digital art. They stalled because the distribution model rewarded hype, front-loaded extraction, and misaligned incentives. Fixed mints, surprise dilution, disappearing creators. The structure struggled more than the concept itself.

We explore an alternative through internet capital markets, bonding curves, and non-arbitrary tokens. Instead of setting inflated prices upfront, value can be discovered in real time. Instead of one-time mint revenue, creators participate in ongoing activity. Instead of arbitrary supply changes, expansion follows transparent rules anchored to Bitcoin.

From our perspective, the next phase of crypto may depend less on louder launches and more on tighter incentive alignment and clearer constraints. Models that emphasize sustainable participation over one-time events could reshape how creators and communities interact.

If there’s one takeaway, it might be this: rather than asking whether NFTs are “over,” it may be more useful to question whether the underlying mechanics make sense. When incentives and rules are clear, long-term building becomes a more realistic outcome.
