🇮🇹 ITA: Un bellissimo viaggio a bordo dell'intercity "Adige" in prima classe da Foggia a Pescara Centrale. Saliamo sul da poco reintrodotto intercity Lecce - Bolzano su una Gran Confort di prima classe in nuova livrea intercity (blu-grigio-bianco). La prima grande novità è l'assenza del caratteristico "1" indicante la prima classe, sostituito dall'indicazione del livello di servizio "iC Plus". Gli interni però restano i medesimi. Partiamo da Foggia con qualche minuto di ritardo. Attraversiamo il tavoliere sino a giungere a San Severo, successivamente ci avviciniamo alla costa e da PM Lesina ci addentriamo nell'ultimo tratto a binario singolo della ferrovia adriatica. Sorpassiamo Chieuti ed entriamo in Molise dove ci aspetta la fermata di Termoli, seguita da un altro tratto costiero fino a Montenero Petacciato. Dopo la fermata a Vasto San Salvo inizia la variante in galleria aperta nel 2005 e dunque approfittiamo della totale assenza di paesaggi per visitare la carrozza 3 con la sua Bike Area e Snack Area, la seconda classe e la toilette. Poco prima di Pescara Centrale incrociamo un bellissimo ETR500 effettuante il Frecciarossa 8803 Milano Centrale-Bari Centrale. Infine giungiamo a Pescara in orario. Un viaggio davvero piacevole. 🇬🇧 ENG: A beautiful journey aboard the "Adige" Intercity in first class from Foggia to Pescara Centrale. We board the recently reintroduced Lecce - Bolzano Intercity on a first-class Gran Confort carriage in the new Intercity livery (blue-gray-white). The first notable change is the absence of the characteristic "1" indicating first class, replaced by the service level indication "iC Plus." However, the interiors remain the same. We depart from Foggia with a slight delay. We cross the Tavoliere plain and reach San Severo, then approach the coast and, from PM Lesina, enter the last single-track section of the Adriatic railway. We pass Chieuti and enter Molise, where we have a stop at Termoli, followed by another coastal stretch to Montenero Petacciato. After stopping at Vasto San Salvo, the tunnel bypass opened in 2005 begins, so we take advantage of the lack of scenery to visit carriage 3 with its Bike Area and Snack Area, the second class, and the restroom. Shortly before Pescara Centrale, we encounter a beautiful ETR500 operating the Frecciarossa 8803 from Milan Centrale to Bari Centrale. Finally, we arrive in Pescara on time. A truly pleasant journey.
