DATA SHEET OF PAULOWNIA 001 FUTURE GREEN CLONE”
Botany Classification:
Domain: Eukaryota
Kingdom: Plantae
Division: Magnoliophyta
Class: Mgnoliopssida
Order: Lamiales
Family: Scrophulariaceae
Genre: Paulownia
Species: Paulownia 001
Varietal election: Clone.
Botany Classification:
Plant native to Australia, Cod No. 001, Cultivated all over the world for over 2600 years and introduced in Europe at the beginning of 1800, imported by the East India Company. Tree with a majestic appearance, it has large, heart –Shaped leaves that can reach the diameter of 70 cm and very fragrant flowers of lilac or white colour, united in large corymbs. The erect, cylindrical, grey and knotless trunk grows rapidly, reaching remarkable heights in a few years. The taproot makes it a great stabilizer of agro-Forestry soils, Totally controlling erosion.
Environmental Characteristics:
It adapts to a wide variety of climate, with temperatures ranging from a minimum of -10°C to an absolute maximum of 60°C. It grows in any kind of soil, even slightly clayey, Poor and degraded but deep. It has low water requirements: approx. 1.000 m3 per year (Max. 40 liter per week in the hottest months, Min. 20 liter per week).
Varietal characteristic:
From studies conducted in the laboratory, through varietal selections, The H8 future Green clone has been obtained with characteristics that make it suitable for both the wood industry and biomass for energy purposes.
Rapid growth of the plant is just 4 years, with a minimum diameter of 32cm and a height of about 10-12 meter.
Rapid reboot capacity, after cutting, from the root system for a total of 6 production cycles in 25 years.
The plant can also grow in conjunction with other crops, especially low Plantations, better if leguminous. For example m it can be planted at 5-6mt (interrow), and easily allow the passage of large harvesting vehicles.
The WELL FORESTRY WORLDWIDE – CARBON EMISSION has recognized the Paulownia clone future Green as a tree for the tree for the future of humanity, Since it is the best carbon dixide absorber, returning oxygen to the atmosphere.
Characteristics of wood
The material made from Paulownia is known as “wood aluminium” and is characterizer by:
Torsion, shrinkage, deformation resistance
Hard essence, water proof and rot proof
Lightness (30% Lighter on average than any other comparable type)
High thermal and acoustic insulation capacity
Lack of knots for more than 70% of the trunk
Light color
The trunk can used for the furniture industry as it is n “A” Category wood.
Characteristics of biomass:
Calorific power 18.295 Mj/Kg;
Reduced residual ash (approximately 3%);
Low moisture content;
Nitrogen, Chloride and Sulphur are practically absent (with a huge reduction in pollution resulting from combustion and lower consumption of smoke and vapour filtration systems).
Use of wood in industry
Due to its characteristics, wood is used by the furniture and building industry for the production of beams, coffers, chests, plywood, prefabricated houses, interior panels for construction, building site wood.
Use of wood for biomass:
From the tree residues from pruning, an optimal is obtained for use in pyrogasification plants or for pellets production: an excellent investment for production residues for energy purposes.
