The Epping migrant hotel protests have been a pivotal moment. They're visibly not "far-right thugs"; they're mainly parents undeniably motivated by a desire to keep their kids safe.

The responses have been entirely predictable. Left-wing media went into overdrive calling everyone "neo-Nazis". Jess Phillips blames "men". Iain Dale can't see any cultural difference between an Afghan and an Englishman. Counter protestors seem unsure why they're protesting. But the worst response was the police themselves who were accused of bringing in left-wing counter protesters to try and goad conflict with the locals who are worried about their children.

The police denied it - then admitted that yes, they had brought in far-left agitators. Instead of keeping the peace, police were stoking the conflict. Why?

Because of the protests, migrants were moved to a hotel in Canary Wharf, where a barrier was erected (interesting to see that borders can sometimes be enforced).

An Epping mum explains how she tried to raise the issue and was thrown out of a council meeting for doing so.

Despite the best efforts of the authorities, everyone can see the truth. And by ignoring people when they raise issues, the authorities have foolishly made protests the only way to get anything done. So expect to see a lot more of them.
