welcome to Peebles. Peebles is a small town in the Scottish Borders. It is located on the banks of the River Tweed, Peebles is known for its picturesque setting and rich history. It has a number of historic buildings and landmarks, including the Old Parish Church and the Tweed Bridge, which date back to the 17th century. Peebles is also home to a number of festivals and events, including the Beltane Festival and the Peebles Arts Festival.

Made a Royal Burgh in 1152 by King David I of Scotland, In the 15th and 16th centuries many visits were made to the town by the monarchy, King James III, in particular, was a frequent visitor. Peebles survived relatively untouched by internal and external conflicts that characterized life in the Borders at that time.

Across the centuries, Neidpath has been home to generations of the Fraser, Hay, and Douglas families. Neidpath is a rare example of a fortified tower house and is amazingly preserved. Unlike other medieval strongholds, the castle has survived through the centuries
