The sixth of several episodes within a monthly video series that revolves around running and the journey of a runner as he trains for and tackles his first road marathon, ultra marathon and a 100 mile attempt all in the space of 292 days.

The West Highland Way in Scotland is regarded as one of the world's most famous hiking trails. It starts just outside the country's capital in Milngavie and takes hikers through 155km of stunning scenery before culminating in Fort William, a town which is overlooked by UK's highest mountain - Ben Nevis.

This backpacking trip has been on my bucket list for a few years and I realised that with its long distance, 3800m of vertical gain and the mental challenge, it would be a a great addition to my training block for the Ultra Wales 50.

In the episode I also briefly cover the rest of my training throughout May which wasn't entirely as smooth as I would have liked it to be...
