We went fishing for some of those big Jordan Lake, NC Largemouth Bass. My buddy Sam and I needed to find some deep water structure holding bass in preparation for a night bass fishing tournament the next evening. Our day ended up really well and we found some really good offshore spots and ended up catching quite a few fish.

We ended up catching most of our fish on a mixture of jigs, shaky heads, and crankbaits. When the wind kicked up, the crankbait would to the trick, otherwise we had to slow down our presentation.

The bass were holding on ledges and point drop offs between 10-15 feet of water. The bite seems to be really good as the sun is still up, but once that sun starts getting low, the fish stopped biting off shore. Nonetheless, the bass fishing on Jordan Lake right now is on fire.
