On January 30, 2023, House Speaker Paul Renner introduced House Bill 543, which, if passed, would make Florida the 26th state to allow concealed carry of a firearm without a permit or license. Currently, with few exceptions, anyone wanting to carry a concealed firearm or weapon outside of their home must obtain a concealed weapon or firearms license, CWFL for short, from the Department of Agriculture. Although people refer to this bill as a "Constitutional Carry" bill, I believe a more accurate description would be a "Permitless Carry" Bill.  @TheFirearmFirm

Please support HB 543 - Carry of Concealed Weapons and Firearms Without a License

This bill is an important step toward true constitutional carry, and underscores that the rights of law-abiding citizens are superior to those of violent criminals, who carry for illegal purposes daily without any government permission. At the very least, this bill gives Floridians a fighting chance to prevail in the event of attack.
