In a fit of rage, a husband strangled his wife to death and later tried to harm himself. During this entire incident, his two innocent children were present in the house.
According to the police, the incident took place at around 4 am. A PCR call was received at the Najafgarh police station that a woman has been murdered. When the police reached the spot, everyone was stunned to see the situation. The wife fell down in the room.
The age of the deceased is said to be about thirty years. Her husband Aman, around 35 years old, used to drive an e-rickshaw to drive the household. The family originally hails from Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh. A few months ago, he and his children shifted to a rented house in the Old Roshanpura area of Najafgarh.
Investigations revealed that Aman and his wife often quarrelled with each other. The reason was that the wife was more active on social media. She used to make reels on Instagram and chat with friends. Aman did not like this habit at all. He suspected that his wife had lost her attention at home. There was often a sharp argument between the two about this.
The night before the incident, there was a dispute between the two about this matter. The argument escalated so much that Aman lost his temper. He strangled his wife in a fit of rage. But in the meantime, the police reached the spot and controlled him.
Aman was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors saved his life. He is currently under police supervision and his condition is said to be stable.
The couple have two young children—one is nine years old and the other is five years old. Both are shocked by the death of the mother and the arrest of the father. The question now is in what direction will the future of these children go?
Delhi Police has registered a case against Aman under several sections including murder. Officials said more facts would emerge in further investigation. At the same time, the safety and care of children is also being considered.
