Our journey begins with a breathtaking flight over the Siberian landscape, offering stunning views of snow-capped mountains and frozen rivers. Upon landing in Yakutsk, we meet our friendly flightmate Vlas and his girlfriend Helpme, who kindly offer to drop us off at our host Tania's home.

After a warm welcome and a much-needed rest, we're awakened by Tania's adorable 6-year-old daughter, Milana. Over a delicious breakfast, we chat about life in this unique city.

Next, we join Tania's son, Lowa, for a local bus ride, experiencing firsthand how Yakutsk residents navigate the extreme cold. Our exploration continues at the Mammoth Museum, where we delve into the fascinating history of these prehistoric giants and other extinct creatures. We also learn about permafrost, the permanently frozen ground that underlies much of Yakutsk and shapes its unique environment.

As the day comes to an end, Lowa returns to take us back home, offering a glimpse into the city's public transportation system. Back at Tania's, we reflect on our incredible experiences, filled with the warmth of Yakutsk hospitality and the awe-inspiring power of nature.
