This video is a full review of the Hoka Mach 4 after 50 miles. The Hoka Mach 4 is a long distance daily training running shoe that costs $130 U.S. dollars. It weights 7.9oz or 223g for a men's size 9 on my scales. They feature a mono engineered mesh upper that is lightweight and breathable. The tongue is thin and is semi-gusseted. It lays flat on your foot and is comfortable. The eyelet chain is standard with reinforced material both on the outside and on the inside of the shoe which adds durability and longevity to the shoes. The heel collar and tab are well padded and are comfortable especially for your longer run efforts. The heel tab features and anatomically correct achilles construction. Hoka also included a removable insole that adds additional cushion and comfort to your ride. The heel counter has a good deal of structure that helps to give you a stable and secure ride. The midsole is made of their ProFly Foam combined with a rubberized EVA foam material that also doubles as the outsole. This combination of ProFly Foam and the Rubberized EVA foam, deliver a cushioned and propulsive feeling through your foot strike to your toe off. The midsole also features and early stage Meta-Rocker that also assist in the propulsive feeling while creating a smooth transition through your gait cycle. The outsole is a rubber infused EVA foam that is light and durable adding to the longevity of the Hoka Mach 4. Overall, these shoes are light, fast, and smooth to run in and well worth the $130.00 U.S. dollars that I paid for them.
