I’m honored to be welcoming Dr. Karen Purnell!

Dr. Purnell is currently a non-executive Director at Tsakos Energy Navigation Ltd (TNP), one of the largest independent energy transporters in the world, and she’s also Chair of the Board of Pension Trustees at Harwich Haven Authority.

She has served within ITOPF for almost 30 years, the last 12 of which were in the capacity of managing director.

Overall, she has close to 30 years of experience within the energy and environmental sector!

It’s a unique learning opportunity and a privilege to have had 30 minutes of her time to deliver an educational interview to any prospective young professionals who seek advice on how to dynamically enter the environmental/ energy sector!

This interview dives into the journey of Dr. Purnell from 1984 when she graduated the Brunel technical college until today and serves to deliver a framework derived from her experience to introduce students and young professionals into the concepts of stakeholder management, strategic planning, plus important advice to nail your first job interview!
