Three Corner Bowl of leftover wood

Описание к видео Three Corner Bowl of leftover wood

I made a three corner bowl from leftover pieces of wood.

After I had glued all the wood into a solid block of wood, I sawed it into a 21 centimeter cube.
The woods I used are oak, beech, marantie, walnut, ayous, robinia, basswood, ash, teak and there are probably a few more that I don't know what kind of wood it is.
I started by placing the cube between the centers to start turning, but the block of wood started to come loose, so I did something else.
Because it was not possible to turn between the centers, I sawed off a point from the cube and mounted a faceplate on it and used it to turn the bowl.
I also partly hollowed out the bowl when it was still mounted on the faceplate because I wanted to reduce a large part of the weight before mounting the bowl with the recess on the chuck.
I wanted to use as much of the height of the bowl as possible, I made a small recess and therefore used a small chuck.
Because of the small recess and the limited strength it can withstand, I wanted to remove as much weight as possible so that the bowl remained safely on the chuck (that didn't work).
I finished the bowl with several layers of polyurethane lacquer.

The bowl theoretically has a diameter of 36 centimeters, but the equilateral triangular top has sides of 29 centimeters and a height of 20 centimeters
