VICTORIA - B.C. Teachers were back at work Thursday, but their job action continues.

Teachers are in a legal position to walk out of the classroom one day each week, but are holding off on another strike vote until next week.

And they remain defiant; still refusing to fill out report cards, complete other administrative duties, working only bell to bell.

School districts are writing to parents telling them they will not be sending home incomplete or blank report cards as expected.

However Education Minster George Abbott says the reports will come by April 15th at the latest.

To do that, the government would need to invoke closure or limit debate on Bill 22, its legislation to end the teachers' job action.

The NDP is committed to seeing the bill doesn't become law.

On Thursday the Opposition introduced and amendment that could add another 17 hours of debate to delay the legislation and interfere with the government's timetable.
