Rexy's Great Hide-and-Seek

Leo loved playing. He loved building towers and making monster sounds. But sometimes, when the fun was done, the mess stayed put.

"Where is Rexy?" Leo asked the giant pile of clothes. Rexy was his best friend—a mighty, roar-tastic T-Rex toy.

Leo looked under the bed, where the dust bunnies danced. He looked behind the curtains, where shadows played tricks. No Rexy!

June came into the room. She smiled softly. "Oh, Leo," she said. "This room has too many mountains and valleys! It's hard for Rexy to climb them all."

Leo sighed a big, floppy sigh. “I want to find Rexy, but where do I even start?”

"Let's start small," June suggested. "First, the books go on the shelf. They like standing straight up, like soldiers."

Leo stacked the books. Clink, clank! Then he put the blocks in the big blue bin. Rattle, rattle!

The room was starting to breathe. The floor peeked out from under the toys. The air felt lighter and brighter.

And suddenly, there he was! Not under the bed, not in the clothes, but right next to the now-empty toy box. Mighty Rexy!

Leo knew then: A tidy room is a happy room. And the best part? When everything has its own home, finding your favorite friend is always easy!
