Peggie answers "What domestic abuse experience do you want to share?" for Unconventional Apology Project.

Peggie is the Project Director for Peace Over Violence's Deaf, Disabled and Elder Services Program.

Peggie was recently honored for her 25 years of service to domestic violence prevention and intervention with Peace Over Violence at their 43rd Annual Humanitarian Award Awards on September 26, 2014.

Unconventional Apology Project is a portrait and interview series giving voice to survivors of domestic abuse. This portrait series was created by Los Angeles based artist, Chantal Barlow, in honor of her grandmother, Mableine Nelson Barlow, who was shot to death at 36 years old by her ex-husband of 2 days. The two had 7 children together and their oldest son, Chantal's father, was present when she was killed. Chantal inherited her grandfather's camera after he passed in 2013, which is now being using to take portraits of survivors of domestic violence.
