Devmountain is attracting a lot of 20 somethings into the promising field of software engineering. Whether they are looking for a career change, recognize the high demand for software engineers, or want to enjoy it’s accompanying lifestyle, people are finding education and training at the new type of school a great path.

Different from traditional theory and lecture based schooling, Devmountain’s education strategy focuses on hands-on training, experience, and results. It is also known as a coding-bootcamp that prepares even beginners to enter the programming field in 12 weeks. The intensive training course are meant to expedite education by giving students hands-on experience they can use now.

“We focus on building, creating and doing,” says co-founder Tyler Richards.

The school also customizes their curriculum to needs of the students from designing websites to developing apps. Mentors meet with students one-on-one to work to get them ready by end of the 12 weeks.

Richards says, “They have to meet certain levels, experience, and skill sets to be able to badge at Devmountain. All the tech companies here are just exploding right now, and they all need talent.”

In just four years Devmountain has graduated more than 1,600 students. It has expanded to cities like Salt Lake City, Phoenix, and Dallas. It has already produced talent for big names like Nike, Marvel Comics, and Vivint Solar.

The innovative education company has started to help supply big tech with ready programmers and engineers that will soon improve the technology that touches all lives.
