In this demo, Laurent Pinchart, Founder of Ideas on Board, demonstrates camera integration with the Verdin iMX8M Plus SoM based on the NXP i.MX 8M Plus SoC, using a powerful camera stack based on the open-source libcamera project.

Watch a live feed from the camera, with real-time object detection running on the NPU, identifying people and objects in the scene. The demo also shows camera control through a lightbox for camera tuning and testing, with the ability to adjust image processing settings like AWB (Auto White Balance) and gamma correction, clearly displaying their effects on image quality.
