In this video, we travel across England by train to pick up our new second-hand van — the very first step in our full campervan conversion journey. This is episode one of a brand new van build series where our goal is simple: build a van, save money, quit our jobs, and travel full-time.

The journey to collect the van isn’t straightforward. It’s multiple trains, station changes, a lwalk at the other end — and the lingering question in the back of our minds… have we accidentally bought a dud?

We’ve spent the last year researching van builds, insulation, electrics, layouts, and what it really takes to live on the road full-time. This van is the foundation for everything that comes next.
