Valtonen stresses that Europe must remain firm and united around its three-pillar strategy:
1️⃣ Defending and supporting Ukraine
2️⃣ Weakening Russia through sanctions
3️⃣ Building Europe’s own deterrence and resilience

She reveals that Finland and Sweden are jointly proposing a full maritime ban on all Russian oil and gas exports, calling for a faster and tougher approach ahead of the EU’s upcoming 20th sanctions package.

Despite Russia’s massive losses on the battlefield, Valtonen warns that Moscow is now redirecting its aggression toward civilians and critical infrastructure — actions she describes as clear war crimes.

Her message is blunt: when Russia cannot win militarily, it punishes civilians — and Europe must respond decisively.
