Strange jobs

Feng Shui consultants: These consultants visit offices and homes to ensure a harmonious environment;

Embalmers: The specialists in preparing bodies for the afterlife;

Dog psychologists: Individuals trained to analyse the behaviours and characteristics of troublesome canines;

Kosher certification consultants: Experts on Judaism who ensure that food is prepared in accordance with Jewish law;

Painting authenticators: The teams who see through art fraudsters to differentiate between true versus fake paintings;

Saddle consultants: The people who ensure equine enthusiasts have the most comfortable ride possible and that their horses have the perfect riding accessory;

The Ravenmaster: England's one and only custodian of the Tower of London's ravens. Derrick Coyle is responsible for the birds' welfare, and ensuring the royal decree issued by Charles II - that there are always six ravens at the Tower - is obeyed.

Lego sculptor: And it really does exist. In fact, there are eight Lego 'master model builders' around the world.

Pet food taster: The next time you see a job advert for a 'senior food technologist', be wary. It could actually be a post for a dog food taster. What, did you think dogs did all the tasting?

Recruitment consultant = global talent supply

Bin man = waste management and disposal technician

Librarian = information advisor

Call centre staff = collections and recoveries credit services advisor

Cold caller = communications executive

Accountant = worldwide marine asset financial analyst

Tax collector = debt management officer

Museum tour guide = coordinator of interpretive teaching

Bank worker = mission control analyst

Lifeguard = wet leisure assistant

Dishwasher = underwater ceramic technician

Subway worker = sandwich technician

Receptionist = director of first impressions
