Ray McGuirk was looking for his 4th straight win on Channel 5, with this particular telecast featuring Tom Olszta trying to defeat his streak. What followed was one of the best performances in the history of the show on Channel 5 itself, that also broke one of the longest records that was held on the show for almost two decades! In addition to that though, this particular telecast also allowed for a VERY exciting re-match that happened just one month later in the big Championship show itself.
