If we think of cell life on Earth as symmetry, then we can use Noether theorem that says, “If we find a symmetry in nature there must also be a corresponding conserved quantity somewhere”. We can use the theorem backwards as well, if we find something has been conserved we know that there must be some underlying symmetry that caused the conservation. In this theory, for cell life on Earth this symmetry was in the form of the Moon having a near circular orbit. This formed lunar cycle forming the motion of the tides. By driving the tides, our moon forms (time symmetry) a predictable oscillation.

In this theory, we have a geometrical process of spherical symmetry forming and breaking with photon ∆E=hf energy continuously cascades down from the Sun changing into the kinetic Eₖ=½mv² energy of matter in the form of electrons. As a process of energy, exchange when the spherical symmetry breaks it can form greater degrees of freedom for entropy, disorganization and equilibrium. The broken spherical geometry also has the potential to form greater symmetry formation forming a template for cell life. The momentum of light forms the driving force for simplicity to complexity and diversity.

Every life form on Earth from Australia's Great Barrier Reef to individual earthworms have reproduction cycles that mimic the lunar cycle. The same process of photon energy exchange unfolds on the planet Mars forming a similar landscape to some parts of the earth. But without the predictable repetition that a large moon relative to the earth forms there is no life.

Another way to explain this is by conformal geometry where angle remain the same, but there is no notion of scale. At the small scale, we can have spherical light wave radiating out with the surface of the wave forming the potential for the exchange of photon energy with the movement of charge. At higher temperatures in the form of plasma, charge can cover a whole star or even a large area of interstellar space. But the same a universal geometrical process is at play. This can be seen in the form of cellular space at the large scale of the Universe. We have the formation of galaxies on the surface of cellular structure. Therefore, we have the same geometrical process at large scales in the form of plasma that we have at small scales and low temperature relative to the atoms and living cells. We can see this with the build-up and organization of charge relative to the membrane of each living cell.
