New Russian Tornado-S Vs. American HIMARS - Which Is Superior?

Himars vs Tornado-S - So, between the American HIMARS and the Russian Tornado-S, which one is more superior? HIMARS, manufactured by Lockheed Martin, is compatible with various precision munitions with ranges ranging from 9 miles to 310 miles. This includes the complete Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) munitions suite, such as the Extended-Range Guided MLRS, Precision Strike Missile (PrSM), and Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS). The Tornado-S is a significant improvement of the Soviet-made BM-30 Smerch multiple rocket launcher. It was introduced into the Russian military in 1987. It is built on a Russian MZKT MAZ-543 8x8 truck with the rocket launcher station positioned at the back of the chassis and consists of 12 tubes. The system contains a rocket launcher vehicle as well as a replenishment vehicle for more ammunition. The Tornado-S has a satellite-guided firing system, with the antenna on the roof of the launch cabin behind the driver's cab. It can launch guided and unguided rockets such as the 9M544 and 9M549 as well as unguided rockets such as the 9M555K, 9M55K1, 9M55F, 9M55S, 9M55K6, 9M525, 9M528, 9M529, 9M531, and 9M533. The new Tornado-S offers improved capabilities as a precision weapon with the use of guided rockets. Hence, it now has an increased firing range and improved accuracy by up to 15 times. The weapon has a greater maximum range of 74.5 miles and can impact an area larger than 60 hectares by assigning different flight paths to each shell. In addition, the system can fire individual rockets or launch a barrage from its 12 tubes to several targets while moving the launcher vehicle. It is aimed to target enemy personnel, military equipment, both stationary and mobile targets, and multiple targets.
