Margaret McNeel was a lifetime resident of Cross Plains and one of the founders of Project Pride, an organization that helps upkeep and promote the Robert E. Howard House and Howard Days. She was actually delivered by Dr. Howard himself and was only about 5 years old when Bob died. Sadly she passed away this week. But about 4 years ago I sat down with her near the Howard House and chatted with her about Bob and Project Pride. She was a very kind and sweet lady. Rest in Peace.
