Bugs in compost are part and parcel of the composting system , they are composting assistants helping to break down the food scraps and browns that we add to our compost and give back to us black gold for our garden.
In this video you will see white mites , pill bugs or sow bugs or roly poly's , black soldier fly larvae , grubs , fungi , fruit flies and maggots to name a few . Springtails are very common in a composting system , I could not find footage of mine for this video . Do google up for more information .
