As a kid I played Pilotwings to death on my SNES and I absolutely loved both of the Secret Missions where you fly an AH-64A Apache to rescue personnel. Recently I've been surprised to see that there are many players who are of equal to my age that say that these 2 missions are "extremely difficult" and "impossible to defeat." Yeah as a kid I got shot down lots of times but I eventually found ways to exploit the enemies and actually beat the game and its the same tactic that I use today.

So what you have to do is when you encounter the enemy AA positions, fly in one heading to lure them into drawing a lead onto you (typically with your nose of the Apache offset from the enemy position) then immediately turn your nose onto the enemy position and then launch your missiles at them. I do it several times in the video. This works especially well when dealing with the smaller AA positions that are a bit harder to hit and mind you their rounds fly faster through the air. Also in this night mission, there are several camouflaged AA guns that you have to find, either through firing blindly into the forest or waiting for them to shoot. Thankfully I remembered where they all are after all these years haha.

Oh also you can change the intensity of the floodlight by pressing and holding down the X button.
