A customer sent me in two radios for repair. Got them both fixed. The TRC 495 was tough without a service manual. Repair and a rough alignment was done to the base unit.

I lost modulation during the test and found the mic was intermittently working. I found a broken switch bracket. Weak final and alignment got the radio working great.

Hopefully this will help somebody who has a trc 495 that needs repair.

Also a Uniden 501 Pro XL that the customer asked me to look at if possible. While these are normally throw aways, I was willing to spend a few mins on it. Got it fixed right away so it worked out.
