Code Sangala grew up in the controversial township of Ndirande. Arguably the infamous township in Malawi. The township once had a reputation of being most dangerous with high crime rate. Now very influential on social and political issues affect Malawi.

Chigumuyoyo (a sweet corn cake) is a song that reflects Code’s fond childhood memories of enjoying this awesome Malawian cake which he used to have for breakfast with Tea. It was one of his morning highlights.
Code uses the cake as a metaphor for the love of a woman, unconditional and very sweet, nothing to compare.

Chigumuyoyo is Code Sangala’s first single off his new album in the making for 2024.
