I came up with a new way to think about recovery in baseball. It's called The 6 R's of Recovery for Baseball. When I was growing up I always used the acronym RICE. Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevate. But as I got older and experienced more, I learned what worked best for my body and recovery. So instead of using R.I.C.E., I came up with The 6 R's of Recovery for Baseball. So if you're a pitcher trying to recover your pitching arm, or a position player trying to recover your body or throwing arm, try out The 6 R's of Recovery for Baseball. I think you'll like it over the traditional recovery routine. This is pretty much all you need to remember for your arm care and it's easy, just remember the 6 R's: Rest, Rub, Run, (w)Rap, Raise, and Rehab.
