$31 dollars and matching tank tops later, we were ready to fling ourselves down the side of Nicaragua's youngest and most active volcano - Cerro Negro, which lies just outside of colonial Leon. It's the only place in the world you can slide down the side of a still active volcano, and the smoking crater, 42° slope and 500 meter descent sounded like too good of a time to turn down. After an hour-long trek with 30 soon to be friends and fellow boarders, we caught some incredible views of the Cordillera de los Maribios mountain range and dawned our orange jumpsuits and goggles.
