Welcome to Batu Kawan Industrial Park or BKIP.
Connected to Penang island by the 2nd Bridge,
BKIP has benefited from its easy access to the Bayan Lepas Industrial Park, the Penang International Airport, the Penang Air Cargo Complex,
and the mature manufacturing ecosystem developed through 50 years of industrialization in Bayan Lepas.

Boon Siew Honda was the pioneer investor back in 2011.

The Batu Kawan Industrial Park is part of the Penang Development Corporation or PDC's master plan to develop Bandar Cassia.

BKIP has been a catalyst to transform the Seberang Perai Selatan or SPS district.
Investments in SPS has grown from 6% of Penang's total approved manufacturing investments in 2015 to 27% in 2019 and growing.

It has also been a drawing factor for major residential and commercial projects in Bandar Cassia.
These include the Aspen Vision City, EcoHorizon, Design Village, Utropolis, and others.

Investments in Batu Kawan Industrial Park have grown so rapidly that PDC has initiated efforts to develop other Industrial parks near to BKIP and with the BKIP branding to meet the demand for industrial land by investors.

Planning and development are ongoing for the Bandar Cassia Technology Park or BCTP, BKIP 2, and also BKIP 3.

BKIP continues to be a catalyst for private developers to develop private light industrial projects in the Greater Batu Kawan area to cater to small and medium industries to support the MNCs in BKIP.

These private, freehold light industrial projects include the Golden Gateway, VR5, and VS8.
In the pipeline are new projects including the VDI, VS11, IKS Nafiri, and A-Park.
