A visit to the small Country of Luxembourg would not be complete without a visit to the Capital. A fascinating station filmed from the North End overlooking the roundhouses opposite, and the station depot. Many services arrived and departed with CFL Electric class 3600 Locomotives and the services to and from Liège were in the hands of SNCB diesel class 55 Locomotives, but not for too much longer. The CFL 3000 electric Locomotive class were on several services and on the more local trains were CFL/DB DMU Class 628/928 and the steel bodied CFL 200 EMU Class. DB 181 Locomotives made appearances on longer haul trains and even an SNCF BB 15000 Electric class Locomotive brought in an arrival in the early evening, Most likely from Metz. This was truly a wonderful station for variety from no less than 4 operating systems. Due to the amount of film I made at this location, I have split the video into 2 parts, to make it more manageable. I do hope this video entertains and evokes old fond memories of the European Railway Scene of the era.
