Hermano
I write you right now
to be with you right now
To reach you right now
to say thank you

The conversations of movement
The accent that connected us
and spoke for an entire culture

Hermano,
you are the great connector

You free us from other sides
and brighten darkness with a cool calm you
We say thank you
From culture
From artists
From immigrant kids barefooted trying something new

You, hermano
All you
We collect now memories
and confess them to the universe
We breathe your mission statement
with a collective thank you

So today I say,"Cheers to the great connector"
"The great spark"
Our lighter of our way

Cheers to the romantic
The great debater
The lover the hater
"Cheers to the movement"
The parallel that let us move with
you, Hermano

"Cheers to the immigrant,
the mover the shaker"

Our Bob Dylan,
our Alchemist,
our Pedagogy Of The Oppressed
You will be a once upon of time story told
to the young as they enter to our world
