Application of a Modified Robert-Jones Dressing

The modified Robert-Jones dressing is applicable to many situations in veterinary practice. Some examples include post-operatively, pre-fracture repair to provide temporary stabilisation and as an outer layer for primary wound dressings. This is a short video, where Veterinary Specialist Services Surgical Registrar Dr Abbie Tipler, demonstrates the application of this bandage. Key features of application include; the application of stirrups, bandage layering overlapping by approximately 50%, conforming layer slightly compressing the softban layer, the digits remaining exposed post the elastoplast +- vetwrap layer and the application is even with no kinks or pressure points.
