I, Jist reporter Medha, went to Delhi's Connaught Place where a silent protest against the Supreme Court's order on dogs turned into a clash with authorities. Animal rights activists and welfare organizations had gathered to oppose the Supreme Court's recent order to relocate, sterilize, and vaccinate all street dogs in the city.

The peaceful demonstration soon turned chaotic, with police declaring the protest illegal due to a lack of permission. Following a tense standoff, protestors were detained and taken away in buses.

We spoke to those on the ground who say the protest will not stop until the order is reversed. "If we don't stand for the voiceless, who will?" they ask. This is what happened.
