温州市是中华人民共和国浙江省下辖的地级市，国务院批复确定的东南沿海重要的商贸城市和区域中心城市。为浙江省著名侨乡，位于浙江省东南部，瓯江下游南岸，为沿海港口城市，亦是中华人民共和国沿海开放城市，2019年被纳入长三角一体化规划，古称瓯。旧城为东晋著名学者郭璞根据风水思想而建。当时，郭璞登上南岸的西郭山，见数峰错立，状如北斗，华盖山锁“北斗之口”，以此设计温州城。故而温州有“山如北斗城似锁”之美称，别称“斗城”。传说筑城时，有白鹿衔花而过，人们视为瑞兆，故温州又别称“鹿城”。市政府驻温州市鹿城区绣山路321号。
Wenzhou City is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Zhejiang Province in the People's Republic of China. It is an important commercial city and regional central city on the southeast coast approved by the State Council. It is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese in Zhejiang Province. It is located in the southeast of Zhejiang Province and on the south bank of the lower reaches of the Oujiang River. It is a coastal port city and an open coastal city of the People's Republic of China. In 2019, it was included in the Yangtze River Delta Integration Plan and was known as Ou in ancient times. The old city was built by Guo Pu, a famous scholar in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, based on Feng Shui ideas. At that time, Guo Pu climbed up Xiguo Mountain on the south bank and saw several peaks standing staggered like the Beidou. The Huagai Mountain locked the "mouth of the Beidou" and designed Wenzhou City accordingly. Therefore, Wenzhou has the reputation of "mountains like Beidou City and locks", also known as "Dou City". Legend has it that when the city was being built, a white deer passed by with flowers in its mouth. People regarded it as an auspicious sign, so Wenzhou was also called "Lucheng".
