The return of low effort chill speedplay. It's not the fastest of times (I'm not a speedrunner!), but it's not a bad pace for triple mule haz6. I'm not one to grind out maps over and over to only upload a super fast cool run, and this was only my second attempt (the first was only a 2-2 salvage, and that was a bit TOO fast it felt like vanilla). In comparison to my last speedplay upload, this one's got pheromones and they did this map dirty. Even a reasonably tough refuel location was no match for an army of steeves of all sizes.

My movement was pretty awful to be honest. Nearly killed myself lots of times with piss poor grapples and special powder launches, but somehow I lived through the mess I caused. It goes to show really how broken special powder is once you get over the initial difficulty wall: it doesn't really matter how masterfully you fuck up, as you're a single jump and a click away from salvation at the other (empty) side of the cave. I hope this run also demonstrates that special powder's access to tier 5 fire means it's just as capable of wave clearing as any other fire boomstick (though slower, and not as fun as something like double barrel). I don't play enough special powder anymore to be all that great at it or know what I'm doing buildwise, but after reviewing footage I'm thinking I can swap off one of the ammo mods for damage - I didn't need the extra ammo and really felt the lack of heat when I attempted ignition. I'd rather have my boomstick actually be able to one clip ignite praetorians since that's a pretty major breakpoint in terms of how quickly you can start bonfires. I actually don't know if the damage up pushes the heat over that threshold, but I think it might because it seemed pretty close.

I hope you don't find the music too grating. I try to add songs I enjoy in these speedplay uploads to make them a bit different from my usual vids, but I do know that they won't be to everyone's taste (especially when I pick more obscure songs that I know the majority of folks haven't heard). Just wait until I get enough confidence to sprinkle in some of the weird ass noise I listen to. Hell yeah... once we get to the experimental era shit's gonna get FREAKY.
