Ravi tripathi || Tabla player || Banaras gharana || Short Documentary film

Shri Ravi Tripathi, an Indian percussionist and well-known Tabla Player from Banaras Gharana which is stabilized by Pt. Ram Sahai.

His first teacher was his older brother, Shri Vikas Tripathi,he have also learned with the deciples of Pt. Ashutosh Bhattacharya (Ashubabu) ,at current he is deciple of Pandit Kishan Ramdohkar who is well known tabla player of India who have accompanied with many "A"grade vocalists, sitar players and other classical instrumentalists players for the North Indian classical repertoire. Pt. Ramdohkar is also acknowledged as a high-level Tabla Solo artist. The combination of solo and accompaniment skills is not so common in India, as most percussionists usually specialize in just one of these.

Ravi follows the "Banaras Gharana" of his native town, Varanasi. This repertoire is well known for its dynamic and creative aspect and its close link with dance and Pakhawaj styles.
Ravi has completed his Junior and Senior Diploma from Prayag Sangeet Samiti (Prayagraj).
Ravi has performed pan India, and some of the places are as follows:- (Delhi,Rishikesh,Gorakhapur,Mau,Bombay and many other places in Uttar p
Pradesh).Ravi has also performed in International Performances in Russia, France,Switzerland, Spain,Italy, Israel,Thailand, etc.
He has played with Pt. Shibdas Chakraborty - a eminent sarod player from India,he have also preformed with many western musicians like Kristian Holvilla from Sweden, Lobo Marino band from America, Ensambel gollah from Israel, sebastian lacroix from France, Fused Head from Noida (India)  and many more. 

Ravi is also working as a composer, and he works in a band called Fusedhead from Noida,
Ravi has his own band called Indicia (The Band of Kashi)
Both of the band are successful on YouTube,they do their own compositions,they compose our own music, and write their own lyrics.
Ravi has also played and participated in producing CDs, In Dios by Kristian Holvila from Sweden and The Sounds Of Varanasi by Sardjan Bronja of ARC productions from England.

Ravi is also the owner of Baba The School Of Music, which was stabilized in 1995. Students from all over India and abroad are learning music online and offline mode with Shri Ravi Tripathi and his team
