FATV match highlights of The FA Cup second round - Adam Birchall scored twice as Dover Athletic stunned League Two Aldershot to progress to the FA Cup third round for the first time in their history. Wade Small had several chances to give the Shots the lead, but could not find a way past home keeper Ross Flitney. Birchall made the visitors pay when he picked the ball up outside the area and placed a fine shot into the corner. And Danny Hylton's handball allowed Birchall to slot in a penalty to seal Dover's place in the third round. The home side thought they had taken an early lead, but Olly Schulz's header was ruled out for offside. Birchall could have had a hat-trick, but had earlier scuffed a shot wide after he had turned Town defender Darren Jones.
