Before the Storms with the Mamiya RB67- Spring 2023

I don't usually get a lot of time to shoot in the woods in the spring months, so it was such a treat to get to spend some time amongst the trees with my Mamiya RB67! To me, medium format film and woodland photography are a match made in heaven, even when I'm being attacked by mosquitos non-stop in May!

The atmosphere was lovely that morning, and the woods were so peaceful, it was hard to believe that storms were about to roll through. Just like in the fall months, the woods changes drastically from day to day during the spring... before long, the canopy is full, and summer sets in. I am so glad I got some time last May to get out there, and I really hope to be able to do so again in 2024. Maybe with less bugs though!
