Getting Nitrites from Curing Salt to Outsmart Chemical Bans

Описание к видео Getting Nitrites from Curing Salt to Outsmart Chemical Bans

Nitrites are a vital group of chemicals that are sadly becoming more and more restricted. Alkyl nitrites like amyl nitrite or isobutyl nitrite have been banned for decades, due to their abuse as recreational drugs, and more recently, legislators have started taking aim at sodium nitrite. So today, I'll be showing how to get nitrites from commonly-available meat curing salt...something a ban will probably never touch!

WARNING: although legal, the chemicals featured in this video are potentially hazardous if mishandled. Sodium nitrite is toxic if ingested, hydrochloric acid is corrosive, and organic nitrites may be harmful if inhaled. Toxic gases (nitrogen oxides) are also formed during the synthesis of isopropyl nitrite.
