When ‪@AlexMoukalaMusic‬ and the project lead, Dan Eder, asked me to arrange this and Terra's Theme from FF6 I was a little mystified, like er...don't you guys want FF9 arrangements for the FF9 thing lol? But as I absolutely adore FF6 and Tactics with my whole heart I didn't mind in the least, especially when they showed me the gorgeous piano Vivi would be playing in the demo, and also seeing so many FFT fans involved in the project!!!!

Alex gave me one directive, that the arrangement would be on the novice beginner side, in keeping with Vivi's shy and uncertain personality at the outset, a request that I absolutely tried and absolutely failed to fulfill HAHAHAHA OMG I'M SORRY I really really did try!! All I can say is this one is far simpler than Terra turned out to be lmaooooo, I started by reworking my first version of Under the Stars, which is far less complex than my v.2 Under the Stars on the piano album, stayed away from excessive 16th note runs and stripped it down as much as I could without losing interest. When it came to the ending I decided to upgrade Vivi's piano skills to advanced intermediate lol, and recalled pieces I was playing and greatly enjoyed when I was around that level, and one that came to mind was La Vallee des Cloches, the fifth (and easiest) piece from Ravel's Miroirs suite, and my first introduction to Ravel when I was a kid. I remember being enraptured by the sophisticated harmonic progressions and ingenious interplay between the hands especially the ending and beginning figuration, which is just so evocative of the title with the ticking of the clocks, and fell in love with Ravel from that point on. So unlike my v.2 with follows the Izlude narrative and closes out with Brave Story, and in keeping with the Ravel, I returned to the opening figure for this ending. I LOVED REVISITING THIS ONE and am so honored to contribute to that amazing project, and even more honored when people were like..."I heard the Final Fantasy Tactics and KNEW that was you lol"
