Ingredients:
For the Filling -
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp heavy cream
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tbsp vegetable oil

For the puff pastry -
2 sheets of puff pastry, thawed
1 egg mixed with 1 tbsp water
1 - 2 tbsp granulated sugar, optional

For the Glaze -
1 cup powdered sugar
1 - 2 tbsp milk
1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:
To a microwave safe bowl, add in the chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Microwave for 1 - 1 1/2 minutes stirring every 30 seconds until melted. Once melted, let the mixture cool down before adding to the cream cheese mixture.
To make the cream cheese mixture, to a large bowl, add in the cream cheese and powdered sugar. Mix until creamy. Add in the vanilla and heavy cream. Mix until combined. Lastly, add in the cooled melted chocolate and mix until thoroughly combined.
Assemble the twists. To do this, unfold a sheet of the thawed puff pastry and, using a rolling pin, on a lightly floured surface gently roll out the seams in the puff pastry sheet. Move your puff pastry to a parchment lined baking sheet.
Next, spread all of the chocolate mixture out onto the sheet of puff pastry as evenly as possible. Grab the second sheet of puff pastry and, just like before, gently roll it out to roughly the same size as the first sheet. Gently place the rolled out sheet onto the top of the chocolate layer. Using a rolling pin, gently roll the two pieces together with light pressure.
Cut the puff pastry into 12 equal strips. To do this, cut the puff pastry in half. Then cut each half, in half again. You should now have 4 quarters. Cut each quarter into 3 equal strips. In total, you should have 12 strips. Pick up a strip and gently twist it.
Make the egg wash and, using a pastry brush, lightly brush the egg wash over each twist. Add on a sprinkling of sugar if desired.
Into a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 15 - 17 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Let the twists cool before adding on the glaze.

To make the glaze, simply add all of the glaze ingredients to a small bowl and mix. Pour the glaze into either a piping bag or sandwich baggie. Cut the tip off the bag and drizzle over each twist. Enjoy!
