I was grabbing lunch at SALT in Kaka’ako when I spotted these stunning murals and thought, “This would be the perfect spot for a quick portrait session.” That’s when I saw Casey (@caseymetrose) and asked if she’d be open to a photo — she said she’d always wanted to model but never had the time.

Casey works at both the Humane Society and the American Heart Association while pursuing her Master’s at UH Manoa — an incredibly full plate. But despite it being her first time modeling, she moved so naturally and confidently, and her genuine smile lit up the entire shoot.

I tailored the photos to reflect a more modelesque style since she mentioned her interest, and she popped beautifully against the bold blue murals. So grateful she said yes.
