This 15 minute video shows a molecular dynamic simulation of GLUT3 as glucose is transported from the extracellular space to the cytoplasm. Water molecules are show to form hydrogen bonds along the length of the transport channel with only transmembrane (TM) segments 1 and 4 displayed in new cartoon view as well as the amino acid residues in licorice view.
