Turkey Meatballs in Creamy White Sauce
A simple and delicious recipe for turkey meatballs served in a creamy white sauce.

Ingredients:

For the meatballs:
500g ground turkey
1/2 tsp table salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
2 cloves garlic, finely grated
30-40g grated Parmesan cheese
4 tbsp breadcrumbs
1 egg
2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)

For the sauce:
1 white onion, finely chopped
50g butter
50ml white wine
400ml dairy cream
1/4 tsp table salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
30-40g grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

1. Make the meatballs:
In a bowl, combine the ground turkey with salt, pepper, oregano, smoked paprika, garlic, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, and egg.
Mix everything together using your hands until well combined.
Shape the mixture into meatballs (they can be a little larger, but they will shrink slightly as they cook).

2. Cook the meatballs:
Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
Add the meatballs and cook for about 7-8 minutes, turning them to ensure they brown evenly.
Once golden brown, remove the meatballs and set them aside. Keep the pan for the sauce.

3. Make the creamy sauce:
In the same pan, melt 50g butter over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion and cook until soft and translucent (about 5 minutes).
Pour in 50ml white wine and let it reduce for 1-2 minutes, allowing the alcohol to evaporate.
Reduce the heat to low and add 400ml dairy cream, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper, and 30-40g Parmesan cheese. Stir to combine.
Bring the sauce to a simmer.

4. Finish cooking the meatballs:
Add the meatballs back into the pan with the sauce. Stir gently to coat them in the sauce.
Cover and cook for 3-5 more minutes, until the meatballs are fully cooked through and the sauce has thickened.

5. Serve:
Once the meatballs are cooked and the sauce is creamy, serve immediately with pasta, rice, or on their own.
