Beaufort Wind Force Scale 0 to 6 or 0 to 27 knots of Wind

Описание к видео Beaufort Wind Force Scale 0 to 6 or 0 to 27 knots of Wind

This video illustrates the Beaufort Scale form a "Beaufort 0" or 0 to 1 knot of wind up to a "Beaufort Force 6" or 27 knots of wind. Often the Beaufort charts attempt to describe the states of the water, or effects on land. These can be challenging to figure out. Here we have illustrations of the steps from Beaufort Force Zero all the way up to Beaufort Force 6 or 27 knot on an inland body of water -- specifically, Glenmore Reservoir in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The illustration focuses in on what smooth glassy water looks like at under 1 knot of wind or Beaufort "0" and then goes from there showing glassy ripples and wavelets, then very small breaking crests as wind increases, and then as whitecaps fill in, and spray and a small amount of foam is present. A short discussion wave heights, wind speed, fetch and wind duration is also included.
